New Name for Page

Being the group with such large personalities as we have, several members thought we needed a name to match our group (and OSU Ross Support Group is no fun). Please post some names that might live up to the humorous and loving group we have become...

Fish Oil

It's official, Dr Hasan put me on the fish oil... 2 grams a day. Anyone else on this? Any side effects?

Medical ID Bracelets

Lots of people in the group have different medical ID bracelets. I know Paul has one that opens up and he carries a paper listing of his meds and contact info. Mark and I have usb bracelets that carry our information electronically.

Several people have asked where I got my bracelet. I ordered it online from http://www.americanmedical-id.com/  I liked the bracelets and I got them engraved.

Where did everyone else get their bracelets???

Group Outing to Amish Country

Some of the group members will be spending the weekend of Feb 17-19 at the Miller Haus Bed and Breakfast in Millersburg OH. If you are interested in joining us, please call (330) 893-3602 and reserve your room.

This group has grown into a special bond of friendships and encouragement and is open to anyone that would like to be a part of it. It's a small family unit and I am so excited that we are going to have a little "vacation" time together!

If you have any questions about the weekend, please contact Mike Wigal or post a message on here and pray the old hoot can figure out how to comment back. LOL! It will be a wonderful weekend. Thanks for planning it Mike!

My Thanks to the Drs. & Nurses at OSU Ross for all of the fantasic care they give to the patients and families.Since my wife ,Phyllis, and I have been attending support group each week,it is a good feeling to be able to reach out to others going through perhaps the most trying times of their lives. Each person has a special story to tell about their experiences. Beloved Group Members Past and Present

How fitting that both our blog picture and our first post will be dedicated to those that we have loved and lost. The picture was taken at a beautiful memorial for our Dear George. Joan and Paul did an amazing job at leading us in a wonderful celebration of George's life. The part I remember as being most striking was how many nurses and staff were there to share stories of how George had affected their life. We have been blessed at OSU Ross with such a caring staff.

We have lost many loved ones this year (Jean, Willie, Gary, George, Jodi, and others) but we have also learned to love deeper, smile more often, and cherish each moment we have together.

Hopefully this blog can turn into an opportunity for us to share together. God bless!

Melissa
